As the summer approaches, we've begun the process of converting to online lessons. This is the best way for us to keep up with what we're learning on guitar, while allowing for the changes in schedules that commonly occur during the summer. I have a few recommendations in using this website:

1) Please know that while I'll be traveling, I am still very accessible. In HIGHLY encourage every student to take advantage of contacting me for any question about guitar. If you have any questions, confusion, or any thing else that has to do with lessons, please contact me and let me know.

If you could memorize a mathematical concept after it is explained to you only one time, then you have a very unique ability. Odds are, however, that you cannot. No slam on you; you're just like the rest of us. This is the reason why math teachers assign 50 multiplication problems each night for homework. They know that it's not fun to do, but it will drill in the idea so that you'll be prepared for the test.

If this is your first time using Sandgravy Music Online and you're here for make-up lessons, use the menu on the left and select the appropriate level for you. You can read a short description about each level to make sure you're in the right place. Once you've found your level, look for the lesson where we left off in private lessons. Each video lesson has the description of that lesson above the video. View the lesson to refresh the material we were last working on. When you feel you are comfortable with the material presented, move on to the next lesson.

As the Christmas break is upon is, it is fitting to reintroduce you to our website for online lessons, www.sandgravy.com. During this past summer, there were a considerable amount of students who did not utilize any of the online lessons. Students, and parents especially, need to be aware that this method of continuing lessons online will take the place of private make-up lessons during long breaks (i.e. sumer break & winter break) and in the event that student and teacher schedules won’t sync up. This means that this website will be in use, even during the regular school year.

Parting Ways:
For over the last four years, Sandgravy Musical Innovations (SMI) has had its guitar lessons hosted at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. However, policy implementations on both ends are resulting in discontinuing this relationship. At the beginning of 2008, guitar lessons will now be hosted at Donley’s Music stores.

If you are accessing this website sometime during Fall '07, you're probably here because either you or I missed a lesson and our schedules couldn't line up to make up the lesson, so you have chosen to make it up online. So, welcome to Sandgravy.com! Please click on this blog entry to get a small intro to using this website.

This past Monday, August 13th, Teresa Donley went home to be with the Lord. She had been struggling with cancer for sometime now. I've heard difficult stories and inspirational stories from Dave, her brother. I know that this is an extremely difficult time for the Donley's, and my condolences go out to them. It is of great peace, however, to know that as a result of her decision to give her life to Jesus Christ, she is presently living full and well in the glory of the Father.

Well, it's back to school and back to normalcy. Hope your summer was fun and I hope starting the fall season, with school and coldness and all that jazz isn't too troublesome. Anyway, we're also starting private lessons back up at DONLEY'S MUSIC & FBCW. WE WILL START THE WEEK OF AUG. 13th. ALL OF YOUR TIME SLOTS WILL BE THE SAME.
